In Naturopathic Medicine, what is the basis for treatment and healing?
Can I just ask a quick question and have the doctor respond without scheduling another visit?
Practically anyone can benefit from Naturopathic Medicine. It is based in common sense and The Therapeutic Order, which means that the least invasive yet most effective forms of treatment are used. Naturopathic Medicine focuses on prevention and the healing power of Nature. This natural medicine helps restore balance within and among body systems to facilitate a return to health and optimal wellness.
Dr. Price believes that with proper integrative treatments and enough time, the s-protein known as "spike", along with its genetic precursor, can be detoxed and eliminated from the body. Using integrative treatments and time, the body's cells, tissues, and organs have the best opportunity to heal themselves. In other words, witness the healing power of Nature, or vis medicatrix Naturae.
This varies from person to person. The more patients comply with their treatment plans and make needed health changes, the sooner they typically feel better. Follow-up testing and follow-up visits will help gauge patients' progress. Follow-ups will help the doctor to make any needed changes to the treatment plan, and will let patients ask questions and discuss their treatment and health goals with the doctor. GOAL : for patients to feel better as soon as possible.
The timeline for feeling better differs from person to person. People don't become chronically ill overnight, and getting better can take time. It is important for patients to understand that feeling better takes work on their part. There is no "magic pill" that will automatically or instatneously return someone to good health. It is patients' responsibility to comply with treatment protocols and actually implement the recommended changes in their own lives in order to experience the most benefit and improvement to their health.
The key for any treatment is : to promote balance within and among the organs, body systems, and other dimensions of a person so that healing can take place. Treatment protocols help address troubling symptoms and any deficiencies or excesses (of nutrition, energetics, thought patterns, etc.) that patients may be experiencing so that a state of balance is achieved.
The foundation for healing is : to remove obstacles to cure (whatever they may be) and add in or promote the determinants of good health. Dr. Price helps patients identify their own obstacles to cure, as well as their personal determinants of health.
First, you can reach out via phone or contact form to ask any questions you may have before scheduling.
Next, schedule your First Visit. (The First Visit is ALWAYS a house call in person).
Then, fill out and submit the intake form prior to your First Visit. This intake form will be sent to patients via secure email after the First Visit is scheduled.
Finally, be present at your scheduled visit time.
Basic laboratory blood tests help to establish a patient's current baseline health profile. Testing and imaging results can support diagnoses and guide treatment plans. More extensive or ongoing lab work, specialty tests, & imaging may be needed throughout a patient's treatment journey in order to track a patient's progress and health goals.
After the doctor's initial patient assessment during the First Visit, basic screening bloodwork will be ordered. Initial tests ordered can vary from patient to patient. However, all patients will be screened for general heart health.
More tests may be needed after initial lab tests are ordered, including specialty testing & imaging studies.
Insurances might pay for basic blood work & some imaging, depending on the insurer and the plan. Insurance payment for these basic services is not guaranteed. If insurances do not pay for blood work or imaging, then patients will pay out-of-pocket to the lab or imaging center.
Insurance companies in the state of Arizona do not partner with Naturopathic Doctors. Naturopathic Doctors are considered out-of-network providers. A coded "superbill" will be provided at a patient's request if he or she wishes to submit it to insurance for possible reimbursement of Naturopathic services. There is no guarantee that insurances will reimburse patients.
Simply put, if patients have :
lengthy questions about their current treatment,
ask questions that require extra research or work,
need a prescription refill,
or wish to discuss anything new with the doctor,
. . . then another visit is needed.
This is continuing consult and request for services. Such consults and services requested outside scheduled visits will be charged a fee. Patients should schedule accordingly.
TIP : Patients are encouraged to write down questions or topics to discuss with the doctor ahead of scheduled visits.
Asking quick questions of the doctor or having short discussions outside of scheduled visits (via phone, email, text, chat, or message) are a continuation of medical consultation and services.
At a patient's request, this includes, but is not limited to : changing a treatment plan, doing extra research, addressing additional or new health issues, prescription refill requests, etc.
Such consults and services requested outside scheduled visits will be charged a fee.
TIP : Patients are encouraged to write down questions or topics to discuss with the doctor ahead of scheduled visits.
